Commissions

How do I commission a painting?

Send Meg a photo, a place, or just an idea using the form on this page or by DM on Instagram (@megallenart). Include the size you want, the paint type (watercolor or oil), and your inspiration or photo. Meg replies by email with a price and a time estimate.

A photo, a place, or just an idea. Meg paints scenes from places she has traveled and takes custom requests such as a nursery painting.

Watercolor and oil.

How much does a commission cost?

Pricing depends on the size and the paint type, so Meg quotes each commission individually once you send your idea.

Can a commission be returned?

Commissions are made to order, so they can’t be returned. If your piece arrives damaged, or isn’t what was agreed on, email Meg within 7 days of delivery and she will fix it, remake it, or refund you. You can cancel before Meg starts painting.

Originals, prints, shipping and returns

What is the difference between an original and a print?

An original is the one-of-a-kind painting itself and is final sale. A print is a reproduction of an original, printed on heavyweight 100 lb matte paper, and can be returned or exchanged within 14 days if it is new and unused.

How much is shipping?

Prints and originals ship for a $5 flat rate per order within the United States. Custom banners ship for a $9 flat rate within the United States.

Do you ship internationally?

Not currently. Meg Allen Art ships within the United States only.

What is the return policy?

Prints can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery if they are new and unused; the buyer pays return shipping unless the print arrived damaged or wasn’t what was ordered. Original paintings, commissions, and custom banners are final sale, but Meg will make it right if one arrives damaged. Read the full return policy.

How do I pay?

Prints and most originals check out securely through Stripe on the site. Commissions and custom banners are arranged with Meg directly: she confirms the details by email and arranges payment.
