Guide
A commission is a painting made just for you, from a photo, a place, or an idea. Here is how it works with Meg Allen, and how to set yourself up for a piece you will love.
You do not need a finished concept. Meg takes commissions that start as a photo, a place that matters to you, or just an idea. Think about the feeling you want the painting to have, and where it will hang.
Meg paints in watercolor and in oil. Watercolor tends to look light and luminous; oil looks rich and layered. Not sure which fits? Read watercolor vs oil painting, or just ask her. Size affects both price and timing, so decide roughly how big the piece should be.
Send it with the commission form or by DM on Instagram at @megallenart.
Meg quotes each commission individually and replies by email with a price and a time estimate. Timing depends on the size and the materials, and commissions take longer to ship than prints or originals she already has on hand.
Commissions are made to order, so they cannot be returned. If a piece arrives damaged or is not what was agreed on, email Meg within 7 days of delivery and she will fix it, remake it, or refund you. You can cancel before she starts painting. See the full return policy.
Meg also makes custom event banners ($30 each) and sells prints and original paintings that are ready to ship.
