Guide
Thinking about art lessons for your child? Here is what parents in Highland, Orem, Provo, Lehi and across Utah County should know about starting, what lessons cost, and how lessons with Meg Allen work.
Meg teaches kids ages 4 and up, along with adults. Younger kids tend to enjoy short, hands-on projects, and older kids and teens can go deeper into drawing and painting.
Art gives kids a creative outlet and a chance to learn patience, observation, and how to finish something they are proud of. A good lesson is relaxed and fun first, with technique woven in.
Each lesson is one hour, one-on-one or in a small group, at Meg’s studio in Lindon or at your home. Meg shapes each lesson around what the student wants to learn, and beginners are always welcome. Meg studied painting and illustration in Hawaii and specializes in watercolor and oil.
$30 per hour for one student, or $25 per hour each for 2 or more people, so siblings and friends can share a lesson at the lower rate.
Meg works with families across Utah County and nearby, including Lindon, Orem, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Provo, Vineyard, Lehi, Highland, Alpine, Cedar Hills, Springville, Mapleton, Spanish Fork, Saratoga Springs, Draper.
Pick a time in the live calendar on the art lessons page, or message Meg on Instagram at @megallenart or Facebook. Include your child’s age, group size, and a few dates and times that work.
